Bio

Daniella was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. Growing up in a multicultural city like Toronto, Daniella was exposed to various cultural practices that help maintain overall well-being. Growing up in a lower socioeconomic environment, her mother taught her to achieve and maintain clear skin and healthy hair on a budget. As she entered her teen years, she began experiencing colorism, causing her to use skin bleaching and chemical relaxing products to lighten her skin colour and straighten her hair.
Ofori will challenge this perspective and change the hearts and minds of BIPOC consumers for the greater good of society. Combining my love for holistic living and health, Daniella obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing and brought her knowledge into her practice. Daniella's passion for hair and skin has led her to launch her own hair and skincare line to enhance the confidence and quality of life of those struggling with their skin and type 4 hair.

Awareness Campaign & Speaker Invitation

Ofori Beauty is passionate about promoting safe hair and skin practices to the BIPOC community. We want to increase awareness about the harmful effects of skin bleaching and chemical hair relaxers. We want to work with students to identify potential speakers and sponsors for our awareness campaigns. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with the social cause, our mission and goals. Identifying groups that our campaigns will target. Identifying potential speakers, sponsors and partners who can support our campaign. Drafting emails to invite speakers. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Assisting in contacting speakers.

Packaging Design and Copywriting for Consumer Engagement

The project aims to develop cohesive primary and secondary packaging for Ofori's product line, ensuring that both packaging types work harmoniously to communicate the product's features, benefits, claims, and application techniques effectively. The challenge is to create packaging that not only attracts consumers but also provides a seamless experience both in-store and at home. This involves crafting consumer-facing romance copy that acts as a silent salesperson, enhancing the product's appeal at the point of sale. The project will require learners to apply their knowledge of design principles, marketing strategies, and consumer psychology to create packaging that stands out on the shelves and resonates with the target audience. The goal is to deliver a packaging solution that is both visually appealing and informative, ultimately driving consumer engagement and satisfaction.
