I have been working as a music producer and Audio Technician for 5 years. I have received formal training in Music Production software (Logic Pro DAW) by the SOCAN Equity X Mentorship Mentorship Program, during which I received professional advice and mentorship by industry professionals on audio recording and mixing.

I worked as an Administrative Assistant at Women AWARE, a Montreal women’s resource centre for survivors of conjugal violence. In this diverse administrative role, I created and managed Social Media content, assisted with organization of documents, and oversaw various events and marketing content. I organized and facilitated a Virtual Conference on Montreal’s local Resources for survivors of conjugal and domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic, at which dozens of like-minded organizations participated and shared their resources with viewers and community members.

Editor and Writer: I also worked as a copy writer and editor for this organization, working on grant applications, annual reports, website content, internal and external communications and business materials

I have been a small business owner of a music partnership business for the last 8 years. Within this business, I have created countless marketing campaigns, done grant writing, maintained online stores, launched media and content, managed customer relations, budgets, relationships, and much more to expand the horizons of the band. I have extensive experience with studio management and run a music studio in Montreal that's used for recording and rehearsal, for which I operate communications and scheduling.

I have been working as a musician in Montreal for the last 10 years. I am a core member of FLEECE, an indie-rock band based in Montreal who promote queer-positive messages through warm, community oriented programming and energetic feel-good music. FLEECE has toured extensively across Canada, US, and UK and has played with many popular acts including Sammy Rae & the Friends, Tokyo Police Club.

I also recently launched my own music project under the name MEGGO. I am a music producer and recording artist and have been working as a freelance studio musician on dozens of collaborations with other artists around the world to help them bring their creative visions to life.

This work experience in the music industry has given me the communication and conversational skills to be able to interview many people in different fields of work.

I have worked for various Artists as an Artist Assistant in various studio settings. These positions allowed me to understand the business needs of artists in my community and to understand the resources available to support their business models. With Pascale Girardin, a well-known ceramics artist in Montreal, I assisted in general studio work and installation of the finished works to luxury sites.
