Project Examples
Requirements
The exemplar project for this experience is a purely exploratory project where the client would like the students to "figure out" what the data is telling them, and then present the results using a visual data story.
This project should NOT include data analysis using regression or other data analytics processes - but can include basic data-cleansing and data engineering tasks (that can be completed with a tool such as Tableau Prep or Alteryx).
Project structure would look something like:
- Provision of the dataset by September 15th, 2024 (so that the instructor can confirm that it will work for the students).
- Creation of a 5-10 minute video to explain the project goals to the teams. (Alternatively, attend class on October 15th, 2024, at 6 PM Eastern Time to present live).
- Be available for ONE follow-up meeting during the week of November 4th, 2024, for feedback and Q&A.
- Be available to answer questions via email or a tool like Slack once per week between October 15 and November 25th. 2024
- Be able to evaluate and "grade" the final deliverable during the week of December 2nd, 2024. Deliverables will be posted to the client on December 2, and evaluations due on December 9.
