This project involves establishing a set of brand guidelines for photography that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Students will immerse themselves in understanding the UN SDGs and how they should be represented in photography to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices throughout the food industry. The project aims to visually convey the importance of sustainability in agriculture, food service, retail, and beyond.
Students are encouraged to look beyond the obvious SDGs that relate to food. There isn't a single SDG that doesn't apply to this sector - we challenge the students to apply a broad lens to this project.
Project Activities:
- Reviewing Existing Sustainability Photography: Students will assess current stock sustainability photography that available and identify areas where it can better represent the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
- Developing Brand Guidelines for Sustainable Photography: Students will establish brand guidelines for photography that align with the UN SDGs and promote sustainability across the entirety of the food chain including agriculture, food manufacturing and production, retail food and CPG, foodservice, and may explore other areas such as food waste, etc.
- Visualizing UN SDGs: Students will work on how to best depicting the UN SDGs in photography to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices throughout the greater food industry.
- We are committed to facilitating regular phone/virtual calls with the instructor to ensure alignment with the project's scope.
- We will assign a dedicated contact person who will be available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address any questions or concerns from the learners.
- We will provide a platform for learners to present their work and receive constructive feedback throughout the project duration.
- The organization will supply all necessary information and data to support the project's success.
