project management management workflow managementWe'd like to use Notion.so to build a framework within our organization that will help to support the transfer of project information among our remote team members. Students will be asked to select ONE of the following challenges and to create it using the advanced features of Notion.so.
- OPTION ONE: Build a space for project management, processes and workflow to support a business association that supports its members in their continued success.
- OPTION TWO: Build a portal that will provide extended support to the more contextual side of our Riipen projects. This will include a project management dashboard and briefing documents for the various projects we administer within the platform.
- OPTION THREE: Build a portal to manage both team members and independent contractors including the management of workflows between these individuals, including deadlines, and billables, etc.
Using Notion.so, students will:
- Select one of the projects as outlined
- Access to the internet and their own computer
- An understanding in the use of Notion and some of its more advanced features including relational tables
**See the videos that have been provided for a more thorough understanding of what this project might look like.
We can support the students in a myriad of ways, including:
- access to the Notion.so
- guidance and direction and #realtalk discussions on the problems we are trying to solve through these builds
- guidance and direction on where one might find some source materials for various workflow templates
- providing students with as much autonomy and independence as they'd like to exercise as a part of this project

An agile approach has been taken and we are now looking to redefine how we can best start and grow to support the industry. It is critically important to us to provide real and lasting value to our members.
Projects that are taken on by students and courses in the Riipen platform will be instrumental in our ability to build capacity to deliver that value.
To date, the work of the Food Trucks Association of Canada has been led by a volunteer Executive Director who is a passionate advocate in this space, and has leveraged a 75% student body of employees made available through various employment subsidies. It is a key part of our mandate to support student learning.
The NAICS code for the Food Trucks is 7223 and other code subsets.
